The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) just announced a new program to help encourage buyers to settle in Chesapeake, VA! Homebuyers can receive up to $13,000 in down payment and closing costs assistance. There are a number of requirements, including income maximums and a 1% required buyer contribution. This is for first-time homebuyers only (must not have purchased a home within the last 3 years) and is an excellent opportunity to provide homebuyers with down payment and closing costs assistance.
